Edwin Mannhart began selling imported vegetable cutters and salad dryers in Canada in 1974. He started to develop his own model vegetable cutters in 1977 in response to the increased interest in the fairly new North American market and the unwillingness of European manufacturers to modify their products.
In 1982, Edwin Mannhart moved his family and business to Buffalo, NY and started producing the first Mannhart Vegetable Cutters. Edwin, having extensive food service experience in Switzerland, designed the Mannhart Vegetable Cutters from an end user's point of view — EASY USE, EASY CLEANING, STURDY METAL CONSTRUCTION, MADE IN USA.
Within months from the start-up in Buffalo, NY, some of the largest hotel chains, airline caterers and supermarkets started buying Mannhart Vegetable Cutters. Since that time the business has continued to grow and expand. Mannhart, Inc. eventually moved to Texas in 1985 where it remains today in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex.
Mannhart Vegetable Cutters have become the standard in the Food Service Industry. In 1997, based on continued customer demand Mannhart introduced their first U.S. made Salad Dryers. Again, easy use, cleaning and sturdy construction are the main focus.
As a family-owned business, we are not only committed to high quality and exclusive design features, but first and foremost to personalized customer service at all times. Sales & service are of equal importance. When you call Mannhart a knowledgeable person, not an answering machine or voice mail, will always answer your phone call.
Mannhart is proud to be the leading American manufacturer of commercial Vegetable Cutters and Salad Dryers and we will continue to maintain our products at the leading edge of food service technology.
